This datasheet is for version 23.0 of the the Mozilla Common Voice Scripted Speech dataset
for Indus Kohistani (mvy
). The dataset contains 26 hours of recorded
speech (23 hours validated) from 56 speakers.
Language
Indus Kohistani is an Indo-Aryan language spoken in District Lower Kohistan, Upper Kohistan, Gilgit Baltistan and other parts of Pakistan. There are few books written and publsihed in this language. It is mainly a verbal language but currently young generation has started this language at social media platform and started to write in it.
Demographic information
The dataset includes the following distribution of age and gender.
Gender
Self-declared gender information, frequency refers to the number of clips annotated with this gender.
Age
Self-declared age information, frequency refers to the number of clips annotated with this age band.
Text corpus
Corpus contains more 6500 sentences from different open source documents or from published books of different authors with their permission and consent. Most of them were submitted to a local organisation which then forwarded to Common voice.
